C&K Slow Cooker Pasta Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 medium sweet onion, diced small

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 28 oz tomato puree

  • 8 oz tomato paste

  • 8 oz tomato sauce or diced tomatoes

  • 8 oz water

  • Oregano, parsley, basil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

DIRECTIONS for SAUCE:

  1. Brown onion and garlic in a crock pot set to Brown.

  2. Add tomato puree, tomato paste and tomato sauce/diced tomatoes.

  3. Add spices, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.

  4. Cover and set cooker to Low Heat for six hours. 

Note: If you prefer a meat sauce, add and brown your choice of meat at the beginning of the browning process..
